One of the biggest and most famous music producers – DJ Khaled is unhappy with the Billboards for giving his latest album Father of Asahd the second position on the music charts. As per Billboards, the first spot was given to Tyler, The Creator’s album Igor.
It is known to us that the company found DJ Khaled’s bundle deal with an energy drink to have some strange figures. Billboards is yet to make a statement, but reports suggest that the company found, “strange anomalies in the data” which led to this decision.
Let us tell you that such bundle deals where the music album is offered with the merchandise are a standard practice to boost sales. While the Billboard numbers helped Tyler’s album to debut at the number one spot, DJ Khaled wasn't feeling good about this fact. He even shared a short video on his Instagram, which was later deleted. Check out the video below:
It is also rumoured that Khaled is thinking to sue the Billboards.
Billboards has announced that they will outline a new policy in 2020 which will allow artists to bundle albums with merchandise.
