The iconic song, Mungda was recently recreated for Indra Kumar’s film, Total Dhamaal. The song was composed by Gourov-Roshin and sung by Jyotica Tangri, Shaan, and Subhro Ganguly. The original track was sung by Usha Mangeshkar and the music was composed by Rajesh Roshan. From the day the song, Mungdareleased music lovers have been annoyed by the track and are unhappy with the revamped version of the song.
We know that nobody could be fit into the shoes of Helen’s magical dance moves, Usha Mangeshkar's voice and Rajesh Roshan’s music direction. Of course, right?
Even though Sonakshi Sinha tried to brighten the song with her infectious dance moves and expressions, she was unable to create Helen’s magic on-screen. The song has received a lot of bashing ever since and music lovers have not stopped giving bad reviews.
Indra Kumar responded to all the bash that the song has been receiving and said that, “Lack of originality and talent in music is an understatement”. Kumar justified by saying he’s serving to today’s generation with the beautiful songs and said that there is no harm in following trends. "This generation has been deprived of those beautiful songs. Our job is to pass on the gems to them. Today’s generation isn’t aware of it." He also said that his kids hadn’t heard the original till he made them listen to the new version, and they loved it.
