The name of Neha Bhasin is not new in the Indian music industry. A member of the first girl pop band from India - Viva, she has also sung a few Bollywood songs. Her new number Meri odhe naal has a Punjabi flavour with a section of slow bhangra music.
The song speaks of the fight between a girl (Neha) and her love interest, and bhangra moves make their presence felt in the music video. Showcasing different Indian and western avatars in the music video, Neha's dance routine is on point and in some places, much better than that of the background dancers.
The music is composed by her husband Sameer Uddin and includes many traditional musical instruments like alghoza, tumbi and dhol.
Neha, who also happens to be a classically trained singer, has contributed to the indie and pop music culture in this country over the years. She has also showcased her talent with songs in other regional languages like Marathi, Tamil and Telugu.
The song is supported by OnePlus under the name of the musical property OnePlus Playback.
