Lady Gaga won her first Academy Award for the song from Shallow - A Star Is Born. She shared the award with Andrew Wyatt, Anthony Rossomando, and Mark Ronson for Best Original Song. The song beat other nominations in the same category - Kendrick Lamar and SZA for All the stars in Black Panther, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings for When a cowboy trades his spurs for wings in The Ballad Of Buster Scruggs, Diane Warren for I’ll fight in RBG and Marc Shaiman - Scott Wittman for The place where lost things go in Mary Poppins Returns.

While collecting her first Oscar, Lady Gaga was reduced to tears and it could be said that this was the most special moment of her musical career. The song was already a huge hit as singers like Kelly Clarkson and Nick Jonas admired the magic in it as they sang their own versions.

Shallow has now won all the big awards including the Golden Globes and Grammys. But what makes the song so special is the chemistry between Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga on screen as well as when they perform the song off screen.
