Paul McCartney pays tribute to Doris Day

Animal rights activist and former Beatle Paul McCartney paid tribute to Doris Day, who passed away recently. She was a very popular singer in the 50s and 60s. She is remembered for the song Whatever will be will be (Que sera, sera). She also starred in many hit films like Pillow Talk and The Man Who Knew Too Much.

Paul McCartney’s official Facebook page posted a statement that he declared.

Growing up in the 1950s, Paul McCartney was influenced by a lot of the music and film of that decade. Doris Day was at the height of her fame around that time period. It’s really awesome that he knew her personally and had such memorable times with her. Doris Day also became an animal rights activist and did a lot for the cause in her last few years which evidently impressed Paul. His tribute to her is really sweet.
