Spotify partners up with T-Series for music distribution!

One of the premium music streaming providers around the world, Spotify recently landed a deal with India’s biggest music label, T-Series. This would allow the Swedish based music streaming company to access T-Series’ Bollywood content, regional and even songs from emerging artistes. On the other hand, this could also confirm Spotify’s launch in India.

The music app is now available in most of the countries around the world, but it was only last year that the Spotify CEO, Daniel Ek announced their plans to enter India. With the confirmation of this partnership with T-Series, looks like that the music streaming partner will make its introduction among music listeners in India.

It wouldn’t be that easy for Spotify in the Indian market as there are already a number of players in the music streaming game. Most recently, one of the key players Saavn partnered up with Jio to expand the reach of their users. Was it the right decision with Spotify entering India?
