Get ready for the ultimate rockumentary. Led Zeppelin have announced that the first official documentary on them is in post-production and will be releasing soon.

Few people don’t know who Led Zeppelin is. Their music was initially rooted in the blues but they incorporated many more influences into their sound. They were huge pioneers of rock and heavy metal.

The band was formed in 1968 and comprised of Robert Plant on vocals, Jimmy Page on guitar, John Bonham on drums and John Paul Jones on bass.

The band was distinctive due to Robert Plant’s wide powerful voice, Jimmy Page’s elaborate guitar riffs, John Bonham’s explosive drumming and John Paul Jones’s heavy bass lines. They were one of the biggest acts of the 1970s.

They were considered to be rock gods. But like many of their contemporaries, they indulged in substance abuse. Jimmy Page was a heroin addict and it affected many of his performances. John Bonham was an alcoholic and died of alcohol poisoning in 1980.

Imagine seeing a documentary on all of this! It is being directed by Bernard McMahon who will show us the whole story of the band. The documentary has been made from their perspective.

Till the documentary comes out you can enjoy some of Led Zeppelin’s major hits
