Monali Thakur's Pani pani re brings a new flavour to an old song!

Monali Thakur recently sang Ho ja awara from the Karan Deol and Sahher Bambba film, Pal Pal Dil Ke Pass and got amazing reviews. Now Monali has released a recreated version of Pani pani re, which is out on Sony Music India's YouTube channel.

The music video features Monali Thakur in a beautiful setting in Switzerland, and captures beautiful locations in the heart of the Swiss Alps. She looks dreamy and beautiful. Her vocals are soothing and soulful, which tugs at your heartstrings. The track has neat guitar work by Aditya Shankar and while it may need time to grow on the average listener, once you find yourself liking the slow beat, you will want to listen to the number on loop.

Monali reveals that she chose this song and not an original one simply because at that time, the idea came with this song. There is no other reason. She is currently working on an original song. She mentioned that the entire team didn't touch the original composition of Pani pani re at all - they felt it was a flawless masterpiece and couldn't - shouldn't - be disturbed. She also said that: "The three milestones - Lata Mangeshkar, Gulzar sahab and Vishal Bhardwaj - are literal living legends of our country." Check out the song right here.
