Happy 38th birthday, Jennifer Hudson!
Right now she’s most often seen throwing her shoe at deserving singers on the 17th season of The Voice USA, but Jennifer Hudson is a bona diva, the star of the recording studio, the stage, the big and small screen and the soundtrack. She started as a finalist on American Idol 3, and then shot skywards to earn an Oscar for her first film, Dreamgirls (2006), following it up with singles, albums, the media glare and awards galore.
Wish the star singer a happy birthday as you watch this music video:

Happy 33rd birthday, Emmy Rossum!
Shameless brought her into the popular spotlight as she played Fiona Gallagher on the TV series. But her acting talent was evident much earlier, when she starred in Mystic River, directed by Clint Eastwood. And her voice stood out strong and clear in 2004 movie version of The Phantom of the Opera, where she became Christine Daae on the big screen. Record deals were offered to her, but she wanted to make music that was contemporary and mainstream, pop with a depth and gravitas, emotionally honest. Her career now swings between acting and the occasional burst of music.
To wish her a happy 33rd, listen to this one:

Looking back at George Jones (September 12, 1931 – April 26, 2013)
George Glenn Jones, American musician, singer and songwriter was well known all over the world for his countless hit records, with his hugely successful song He stopped loving her today becoming his trademark. He was often called the ‘greatest living country singer’ for much of his life, and it was once written that "For the two or three minutes consumed by a song, Jones immerses himself so completely in its lyrics, and in the mood it conveys, that the listener can scarcely avoid becoming similarly involved." Jones’ career began with White lightning and ended with his last compilation album The Crown Prince of Country Favorites + White Lightning and Other Favorites, released in 2015.
On what would have been his 88th birthday, we remember George Jones with

Happy 42nd birthday, Krish!
An Indian actor and singer, Krish has worked in Tamil and Telugu films. He started as a playback singer for Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu (2006) with Manjal veyyil, and went on to sing and act in a number of movies in both South Indian languages. Educated extensively in the USA, he managed to bring his western-influenced sensibilities into more conventional music, adding that extra flavour that made his songs successful. His voice soars in mumbers like June ponal July kaatru from Unnale Unnale (2007), Sakiyae from Dhaam Dhoom, Oru mugamo from Bheema and Adiye kolluthey from Vaaranam Aayiram (2008).
